My 28 day challenge.
For my 28-day challenge I had chosen to exercise every day. The reason I picked it was because to be honest, I’m an unhealthy individual- I never eat fruits & veggies, and before this challenge I didn’t ever make time to exercise. Some things I didn’t foresee before the challenge was the time constraints around my schedule and how sore it would make me, lol. It was difficult to stick to it on the daily, however, it taught me so many things. Some of these things include: sticking to a weekly schedule, working harder at setting goals and achieving goals, as well as making myself comfortable with the uncomfortable.
For instance, the first week was by far the most difficult, because I had never had to fit working out into my schedule because it wasn’t a priority. However, the more days that had passed it was so much easier to do because it felt like I had to work out every day the more I implemented it into my schedule- and I wanted to work out. I slowly looked forward to the time out of the day where I worked out- it was a stress reliever in many ways. It allowed me to forget about the homework I had to do later and the day-to-day conflicts that came my way.
As well as this, I found that my discipline had grown a lot more into doing things that I normally never want to do (i.e working out, haha). I didn’t fear what people thought of me if I had used a piece of equipment wrongly, and ultimately, I think my comfortability with working out in public has grown exponentially.
I won’t lie though, I missed quite a few days out of this challenge, and I kinda wish that I would have taken it more seriously, because I loved the feeling I had gotten after working out and funnily enough the “workout glow” you get after is real (at least in my case). Overall, I recommend trying something new for 28 days- it’s worth the experience and you learn a ton about yourself!
