Lesson Six: Real-izations

Reading Summary

Most of what we take as “reality” is a cultural construction (“real”-ized through our unseen, unexamined assumptions of what is right, true, or possible.)

In this lesson we explore the social construction of reality – how our routines, habits, practices and cultural structures make the many of the “realities” with which we live.  We will explore the social construction of money, race, blindness, love, gender, and the self.
