Reading Summary
In this lesson we explore the emerging anthropological investigation of “the good life” to explore how values and virtues differ around the world, how they are the same, and how we might create social institutions and cultural norms that foster “the good life.” We then turn to the anthropology of storytelling to explore the important role storytelling has played in human life for making meaning and passing on knowledge across generations.
